SIMPLE WINTER DAY
White Clouds race and roll by
All across and through this winter sky
They bring a sound like distant bells
Like Songs of Spirits flying by - the fire starts up
Burnin' with its warm shadows on the walls
Simple Winter Morning
We think about the Older Times
Sing Songs - tell Stories that we know
We've heard so many loving times -
It don't much matter cuz we know
These Times are soon forgotten
Unless you write them in your Songs
Some Simple Winter Morning
These are Moments of Treasure, yes,
Known only to you and I
For Old Friends and Lovers know
All that there is: of the How and the Where
And the Why
The fire is slowly dying
It's embers glow all crystal gold
We've sung our Last Song softly
We've heard the Stories that we've told
And now we head to Dreamsong
Warm bodies twined against the cold
Simple Winter Night, now
Simple Winter Night
