APPLE FARM
Wish I had an apple farm or maybe peaches, almonds too -
I would pick them apples for us an' the peaches just for you!
Wish I could take all them almonds - shake 'em down and when I'm through -
Take them in their canvas bags and toss 'em into our truck, too!
We'd be rich!
We'd have fun!
We'd be jus' one happy couple raisin' stuff for everyone!
Wish I had a big ol' Truck Farm - veges raised in pretty rows!
I would keep them irrigated, squishin' mud between my toes!
Wish I could take all them veges - harvest them - and 'can' em sweet -
Take them to some Farmers Market - sell 'em out on our Main Street!
We'd be rich!
We'd have fun!
We'd be jus' one happy couple sellin' stuff for everyone!
Wish we had some little homestead, high and lovely on some slope -
We would keep that home of ours jus' full of love and full of hope!
Wish we had a load of children - act like me and look like you -
We would raise 'em smart and happy - Life would all ways be like new!
We'd be rich!
We'd have fun!
We'd be jus' a happy family rich with love for everyone!
