RIDIN' ON BEGGARMAN
I'm ridin' on Beggarman
Dear Horse and Kind Soul
An' the sweetest of Paints
Ever born to be rode
He's as fine and as grand
As an Old Paint can be
An' he never is bolder
Than when he's with me
So saddle up Beggarman
Take him to ride
With his love of wild places
Godspeed at his side
With his brave and sweet gallop
Godspeed at his side
I'm there with ol' Beggarman
Horse Friend so good
He wants to do well by me
Just as he should
An' I want to do well by him -
I always do
For he runs like the wind
An' he trots fine and true
So saddle up Beggarman
Take him to ride
With his love of wild places
Godspeed at his side
With his gentle sweet gallop
Godspeed at his side
There's a sayin' they say
about Beggarman's name
That if Wishes were horses
We'd ride all the same
Like Beggars all wishin'
For somethin' we ain't:
Like Horsemen as I am
Upon my old Paint
So saddle up Beggarman
Take him to ride
With his love of wild places
Godspeed at his side
With his simple sweet gallop
Godspeed at his side
With his old and sweet gallop
Godspeed at his side
