the empty places
in me
are filled with you
only when I can
hear you
see you
especially when
I can touch
you
which seems
impossible
not to be
somehow
I can't imagine
when this longing
which has been
all my life
will be filled up
as it is
when I am with you
cannot believe
that it will be
again
until
again
happens
until then
there are
such empty places
in me
that no light
can be seen there
no past defined
no present seen
as is
no future
possible
these empty places
I'm used to these
cannot see
you on the road
and so assume
you are not there
taking one step
one step
at a time
