SONG FOR BUFFALO DANCER was written as lyrics in August of 2010! I just found her in archives...good song in her: she should be heard performed...want to tell the story of a very fine horse and a good, poetic rider?...pick up your guitar and sing her home along the grasses aside the river....

SONG FOR BUFFALO DANCER

I'm going to saddle up Buffalo Dancer...
I'm going to ride cuz I'm not just a cowgirl -
I'm taking this mare to a place on the ridges
Where sunsets are always and sorrow is never -
Where ocean meets river and river meets sky...

Chorus:
Where ever I ride there is Love in the river
Love where the river meets sunset and sea
Buffalo Dancer, we're not turnin' back
Lovers win every time they let Love be

Buffalo Dancer has thrown many colts...
She is older and restless but let's me ride free...
She's alive on the sea sands - alive in the river -
She's just a Life Lover a whole lot like me:
We're goin' to live all the Life we can see...

Chorus:
Where ever I ride there is Love in the river
Love where the river meets sunset and sea
Buffalo Dancer, we're not turnin' back
Lovers win every time they let Love be

I've lived with joy and I've lived with my sorrows...
Tasted the honey and salt of sweet Love:
My Dancer and I will be ridin' deep canyons
And climbin' the ridges past stars high above -
Cuz we're in this forever just livin' for Love...

Chorus:
Where ever I ride there is Love in the river
Love where the river meets sunset and sea
Buffalo Dancer, we're not turnin' back
Lovers win every time they let Love be

Lovers win every time they let Love free
