ROCK US ON THIS RIVER isn't lyrics...but it does have a song...you can hear it near any water-comin'-down....

ROCK US ON THIS RIVER

Rock us on this river like a cradle
hold my hands in the twists of eddies so it won't
be sweepin' us off our feet

Let us stand grounded on river stones
shiftin' and washin' about in the thin, silty
bottom lands of this river

Make our love in this river
Rockin' sweet in the whites of wavin'
lettin' currents move us up, down

Open our eyes on this river
may we read the waters like a
bible in this patient river

When storms rise to meet her
let us honor the might of this river
be strong enough to not-go-under

Sunlight breakin' into prisms in these
broken waters these oaths of hydrogen and
oxygen, fish, weeds, and even muck

We must be worthy of this river
of each other, must be holy and very sinful
old and young as these waters

Come from highlands. water come down
trickles first, then torrents: let love
between us sing and sing

This river will hear us and will be close
the way our blood is close
we will live and die on this river

First live, live large while we rock and
rock on this river lookin' up at stars
fallin' into this river, our river
